The Junior Leadership Lenoir will be heading to Disney World March 24-28 for Disney’s Youth Education Series. The series offers high school seniors a chance to learn about future careers, business and servant leadership. This allows the students from Lenoir County Public Schools to possibly stay in or return to Lenoir County after graduation.
Students need money for meals, flights and transportation. Seven of the 15 students have never been to Disney World, and four have never flown on a plane. This is a great opportunity to help Lenoir County students find a career path in our county.
1. Sponsorship: Receive a social media marketing package from the students to be posted on the Junior Leadership Lenoir Facebook page for 5 days to promote your business
2. Chick-fil-A Night on February 12 from 5-8pm
3. Private donations: Make donations out to the Lenoir County Education Foundation. You will receive a tax deduction for your donation.
Thank you for your support and participation in the Lenoir County Education Foundation’s program, Junior Leadership Lenoir. This group of high school seniors has been actively involved with our Chamber as well as other professional associations, civic groups and service organizations since October. They have met many local leaders and interacted with them in various settings. In addition, they visited and explored many businesses in the effort to become more informed about our local community. These activities will continue throughout the remainder of the school year.
Our long-range goal with Junior Leadership Lenoir is to encourage individual involvement in leadership roles within our community. We hope to see this group of young people continue their education and become leaders in their community, regardless of location. Hopefully many will remain or return to Kinston and Lenoir County!
You can pay at the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce or mail your payment to 301 N. Queen Street, PO Box 157, Kinston NC 28502 or call 252-527-1131.
